Floating Plants

Floating plants cut down the amount of light entering the surface of the water and can help to control blanket weed and green water. Please note Azolla sp. (Fairy Moss) and Eichhornia crassipes (Water Hyacinth), which appear in many water gardening books, are non-native invasive plants which have been banned from sale in the UK.
