Pond Barley Straw Bale is the traditional natural treatment for algae in ponds. This treatment will take 2-6 weeks to completely as it relies on the natural bacterial breakdown of the Barley straw to generate peroxide which kills the algae – this is dependent on water temperatures and specific pond conditions.
