We were incredibly honoured to be chosen to supply one of our waterlilies (Nymphaea ‘Splendida’) to Plant Heritage’s Missing Collector Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this year. Waterlilies do not often appear at Chelsea due to the difficulty in getting them show worthy by the middle of May, so on our first attempt we were thrilled to see ours bloom throught the show!
About the garden
The Missing Collector Garden is a woodland edge garden, filled with plants safely looked after in our living library of National Plant Collections® as well as those looking for someone to take care of them. The aim; to inspire more people to get involved in plant conservation as a National Collection holder or Plant Guardian. Collection Holders from across the UK contributed their plants and expertise.
The garden was designed by William Murray, Kate Campbell and Sally-Anne Rees of the Planting Design Collective and sponsored by Project Giving Back, with additional support from Shanly Foundation.
Show judges awarded the garden a Silver Gilt medal. Congratulations to all involved!
